Safety Evaluation

fat soluble vitamin which is cautious. However, the volume and response effect
on OMEGA-3 fatty acid is not clear. Eskimo eats 6.5G OMEGA-3 fatty acid a day.
But any special adverse effect is not observed. In case 3G DHA and EPA are
eaten a day, special adverse effect has not been reported except for adverse
effect in stomach. (LEAF, ETC. 1994) As a result to review various literatures
to improve blood flow and to determine intake volume that controls neutral fat
in blood, minimum intake volume was set as 500 mg by referring result of DART
study and Kris-Ether ton, etc (2002). We recommend proper intake volume of DHA
and EPA in healthy functional food is 0.5 to 2g per day considering fewer than
3g restricted by U.S.A. FDA and intake of omega-3 from meal.
